Doug McGregor

Doug graduated from The University of Texas in 1982 with a BA in Economics, beginning his career in Houston, where he worked for Studley (Savills) and Fuller Commercial, focusing on Tenant and Owners office building representation.

He moved to Los Angeles in 1988 and continued his work as Leasing Director with Bramalea California/Trizec, handling a 1.5M SF portfolio on LA’s Westside. Later he continued representing Owner’s office buildings as well as notable tenant assignments for The Seeley Company (Colliers) including Sony Pictures, New Times Inc., and Great Western Bank.

Additional experience included work as a consultant for Asset Recovery Fund based in Austin, assisting in the disposal of multiple land sites in Southern California.

Returning to Texas he worked at Insignia as a Building Representative of notable office projects in Greenway Plaza and in the Westchase District in Houston.

In 2006 he moved to the San Francisco Bay area working for private equity fund Embarcadero Capital Partners investing in real estate. He held the Leasing Director position for 5 years, covering markets in Sacramento, San Francisco, the Peninsula area, Silicon Valley, San Jose and Cupertino.

Doug’s 40 years of experience also includes 2 years in the Hill Country selling residential in the Highland Lakes area with Horseshoe Bay ONE Properties. His background is well-rounded, handling all asset types, and is a welcome addition to the team at Capella Commercial.
